Help with your relationship

Do you need help with your relationship?  The start of a relationship can be filled with excitement, curiosity and happiness.  However, further down the line things may feel very different, living alongside someone is one of the most challenging things we do.  Do you find it difficult to be open and honest about how you feel and what is upsetting you?  Perhaps you no longer like yourself in the presence of the other person.  Do you swing between blaming yourself, to blaming your partner?  Blame does not help resolve issues in relationships, it just digs you deeper into your own point of view.  We often believe we know what the other person is thinking and feeling, however, what we really have is a script in our head. Without checking with the other person we truly have no idea what they are thinking or feeling.    The key to a good relationships is taking responsibility for our role in the situation and changing our behaviour.

It is natural that relationships go through difficult times.  Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to improve your communication skills which is turn will help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your relationship.  Better communication can lead to a deeper and more fulfilling relationship.  Please do not hesitate contact me if you require any additional information.
